Dr. Michael Nawrath, Dr. Mathias Rodenstein, Mr. Markus Helbling, Mrs. Sylvie Zhou announced as Executive Directors, Dr. Wan Yi as Partner (SSP China)

Strategic Swiss Partners (SSP) is pleased to announce the appointment of several key Partners who have been brought on board to steer the company to the next level of growth.

Their appointment forms part of SSP's plan to grow its presence in Switzerland and other key global markets in 2021.

Dr. Michael Nawrath MD PhD Managing Partner Health Care & Life Science

Strategic Swiss Partners is pleased to welcome Dr. Nawrath as Managing Partner Health Care & Life Science.

Dr. Nawrath's wealth of knowledge, experience and success in the Health Care, Life Science and R&D Investment sectors spans over 30 years. He started his career in the Health Care sector at the Max-Planck-Institute for Molecular Genetics in Berlin as scientist. At the University of Berlin and as physician at the Havelklinik he then completed his MD degree, specialised on glaucoma research, intensive care medicine and orthopedic surgery. His strong analytical skills brought him 1994 to the University of Zurich as a Senior Scientist and Project Leader in Medical Virology, Oncology and experimental Rheumatology. In the year 2000 he then changed to the financial sector applying his in-debt qualifications of the Healthcare industry as Fund Manager Global Biotech at CS First Boston, managing funds over US$ 150 million and becoming spokes person for TV and PR articles as well as leading investments in the Private Equity and stock markets. From 2007 till 2020 Dr. Nawrath was heading the Fundamental Research Pharma / Biotech at Zürcher Kantonalbank (ZKB) in Zurich as director.

Dr. Mathias Rodenstein Executive Director, heading Project Management

Strategic Swiss Partners is expanding in the renewable energy sector and is pleased to welcome Dr. Rodenstein to its Management Team.

Dr. Rodenstein holds a PhD in Science from ETH Zurich and a Master of Science in Physics from TU Dresden, having spent part of his studies at EPFL Lausanne and St. Petersburg State University. His professional skills expand over a vast field of business sectors. Dr. Rodenstein began his professional career at a Swiss strategy consultancy company, leading the development of an international CHF 500m+ business expansion project before joining PwC, Zurich as Senior Project Manager in the Financial Services. His analytical risk management approach combined with his passion for technology and science and his strong networking skills led him to head large scale company projects. As Senior Investment Manager at the British Embassy in Berne, besides leading 50+ yearly projects, Dr. Rodenstein maintained public relationships, the coordination of official events and ministerial visits as well as the support of business development for large Swiss companies, such as Nestlé and UBS, overseeing a combined project portfolio of over CHF 1.5 billion.

Mr. Markus Helbling Executive Director, heading Marketing & Communication

Strategic Swiss Partners is pleased to welcome Mr. Markus Helbling to its Management Team, heading Marketing & Communication. A highly accomplished business leader, Mr. Helbling has over 25 years of experience in marketing, PR and is Founder and Managing Director of CLUE Solutions Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. CLUE offers Swiss companies expertise in business consultancy and relevant services in the implementation and support of offshoring in Malaysia. The company also offers public relations, marketing and communication services. Mr. Helbling has years of proven experience in the areas of general management, project management, business development, communication and marketing. In Switzerland, he worked for big name media companies like CH Media, Swiss Radio and Television (SRF) and Ringier, for over twelve years. He holds a master's degree from the University of Bern and an executive master in communications management from the University of Lugano. Markus Helbling has been a Board Member of the Swiss Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (SMCC) since 2017 and has been elected as a Vice Chairman of SMCC in 2020.

Mrs. Sylvie Zhou Executive Director Strategic Swiss Partners AG & Managing Partner for Business Development SSP China

Strategic Swiss Partners is pleased to welcome Mrs. Sylvie Zhou as Managing Partner into its Swiss Management Team as well as Managing Partner for Business Development of SSP China.

Born and raised in Shanghai, China, Mrs. Zhou has been living, studying and working for the last 20 years in Europe. With a bachelor in hotel management from Les Roches Hotel Management School, Lausanne, and a strong pioneering, entrepreneurship spirit she founded her own gastronomy business in the French part of Switzerland in the year 2005. Until today her restaurant Old Summer Palace in Lausanne is one of the most famous Chinese restaurants in the region. Next to her passion for gastronomy Mrs. Zhou has many years of investment experience in various industries and her main focus lays in the promotion of cooperation's and technical exchanges between China and Switzerland, especially in the medical and elderly care sector. Nevertheless, her passion for charity and interpersonal, human connection always play a major role in all her project selection.

Dr. Wan Yi

Partner Health Care & Life Science Investments at Strategic Swiss Partners AG & Executive Partner SSP China

Strategic Swiss Partners is pleased to welcome Dr. Wan Yi as Partner Health Care & Life Science Investments and to SSP China's Implementation Team.

Dr. Wan Yi holds a doctor's degree in sociology and a master's degree in banking and finance. With over 25 years of experience in investment banking, securities analysis and venture capital his professional career path includes the Bank of China, the China Agriculture Trust and Investment Corporation, Martin Currie fund management UK and Core Pacific Yamaichi Securities.

In 2004 Dr. Wan launched a venture capital company in Beijing assisting more than 20 companies to go public or M&A.

In 2014 he founded the Sino-Japanese joint venture called Whistler Medical, a technology-oriented company devoted to the anti-aging industry. With a number of patents and know-how in the fields of stem cell, bone hyperplasia, liver and kidney cleansing system, microorganism, Whistler Medical owns its own GMP standard cell laboratory.

Dr. Wan Yi is a member of The World Academy of Anti-aging and Regenerative Medicine (WAARM).
