Mr. John d'Abo is a Senior Partner and responsible for Capital Markets with Strategic Swiss Partners. Mr. d’Abo has over 25 years of experience in Investment Banking in various positions around the world. He has worked in London, Hong Kong, Singapore and New York over this period for institutions such as HSBC, Credit Suisse, Daiwa, RBS and CLSA. Florian Wegmann

Hashim Omran

Hashim Omran is a Partner who brings a long track record spent in Investment Management to Strategic Swiss Partners. Hashim has spent 15 years allocating capital across the Middle East and Africa in both public and private markets. He spent more than 12 years with EFG-Hermes - the largest investment bank in the Middle East and Africa - as a fund manager.  Throughout his tenure with the firm, he managed various funds and portfolios for some of the world's largest SWFs and endowments.  In his last role as a Managing Director, he was managing the platform's largest fund that invested across both public and private markets. It was in this role that he served as a board member for some of the region's most innovative and fastest growing companies across various industries. His experience in public markets and private equity brings a host of many synergies to SSP's global platform.

Datin Maznah Mahbob

Partner, Finance & Investments

Datin Maznah Mahbob is Partner (Asia) for Finance and Investments at Strategic Swiss Partners.

Formerly she was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AmInvest, a multiple award-winning fund management house from Malaysia with global funds management expertise and a 35-year proven track record. Datin Maznah has been in the funds management industry for 28 years, initially in a fund management role before assuming the responsibility of CEO 14 years ago. Prior to this, she was in the Corporate Finance Department of AmInvestment Bank for 3 years. She is a graduate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (UK) and holds the Capital Markets Services Representative’s License. She has also attended various postgraduate executive management programs including the Investment Management Program at Harvard Business School. Datin Maznah regularly speaks at domestic and international investment conferences covering both Shariah-compliant and conventional investment strategies. Among the subjects she has covered, are intelligent investment solutions and products, and distribution strategies of funds globally. Other than being a regular speaker at reputable conferences, she also contributes articles to publications such as “Investing in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Region”, published by Euromoney Books. Datin Maznah was recently named in the TOP 50 among the Islamic 500 (in collaboration with Forbes) list of the most influential people in the World Halal Economy.

Tuck Weng Low

Partner, Investments 

Mr. Tuck Weng Low is a Partner with Strategic Swiss Partners and his main career has been in corporate & investment banking. This was for a span of 19 years when he covered project finance, debt capital markets, and FICC (forex, fixed income, & commodity) derivatives for sovereign & institutional clients. He spent a further 6 years in private banking & investment management, structuring in all asset classes before moving into a single family office for a further 6 years. He served for several famous institutions, such as:  Goldman Sachs, Nomura, SBC Warburg, JP Morgan, HSBC in London, Zurich, Hong Kong, Singapore and Sydney. Mr. Tuck Weng, aside from his finance career, has been involved in fintech (trading software) in Palo Alto (1990s) as well as biotech in Singapore.

Steven Morales de Medrano

Partner, Investments 

Mr. Steven Morales de Medrano is a Partner with Strategic Swiss Partners and contributes expertise in M&A & Private Equity with an active presence in Switzerland, Monaco and Dubai.  
His current professional area of focus is alternative investing: Private Equity, Commercial Real Estate (Luxury hotels), Art Investments, and Absolute Return portfolios.  In Dubai, he is a member of a team of experts in luxury supporting an INSEAD sponsored accelerator for start-ups in disruptive technology. Prior he spent 15 years as a Director and U.S. Equity Portfolio Manager at one of Spain's largest banks, managing Sicavs and investment funds, and developing and coding models for forecasting and trading a broad range of asset classes.
Previous roles include: fixed income sales & trading, institutional equity brokerage, and private banking.  He has provided a seminar course for the M.S. in Quantitative Finance at ETH in Zurich.  He is originally from Pasadena, California and holds: B.A. in Economics (U.C. Berkeley), MBA (INSEAD)

Yunsong Xing Sutter

Yunsong is a professional and seasoned China market consultant with over 20 years of demonstrable track record on a truly global scene. Born and raised in Beijing, educated in Australia and having worked in Switzerland, China and Singapore, her life and career have taken her to diverse corners of the world. Yunsong cemented her extensive knowledge in Private Banking (Strategy and Sales & Marketing) during her earlier roles in Switzerland, Hong Kong and Singapore. She was consequently seconded to China for almost 5 years and played an instrumental role in building the first two domestic private banks in China through the strategic partnership between RBS and Bank of China. Building on her deep understanding of the culture, her strength and interest today her focus lies on China related business development - from relationship building, to network connections, to business introductions and operational support. After living many years in Switzerland and with her access to the Swiss Chinese Chamber of Commerce, she has the network and capability to connect companies with in-bound and out-bound opportunities. Wolfgang Maenner, CAIA

Partner, Head of Institutional Sales

Wolfgang Maenner is a Partner and Head of Institutional Sales with Strategic Swiss Partners. Wolfgang served as Global Institutional Advisor for the Asset Management arm of a large Swiss Private Bank. He was Global Head of Sales for two alternative investment managers in San Francisco and Zurich. Before that he worked as Family Office Advisor for two well-known Swiss Banks.

Wolfgang Maenner completed a banking apprenticeship at Commerzbank in Stuttgart, earned a B.A. in economics from the University of Heidelberg and a Master in finance from the University of Basel. He holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.

Richard Kleinbauer

Partner, Asset Management

Richard Kleinbauer is a Partner and contributes his asset management expertise and experience to Strategic Swiss Partners Rich has spent nearly three decades in the field of financial management, managing pension fund assets governed by the Swiss occupational benefits program, UCITS-regulated bond and equity funds, and large institutional portfolio mandates. He has run teams of money managers, was CIO at two financial institutions in Geneva, and has won several awards for performance managing both equity and bond funds. Rich has been instrumental in the development of several innovative, leading edge investment products, and in 2005, Rich Kleinbauer established RMK Research & Markets Sàrl, a provider of investment council, strategic advice and research to institutional asset managers in Europe. Rich is a Swiss and American national; his first language is English but he also speaks French and German fluently and regularly.

Remco Verwoerd

Partner, FMCG and Retail

Mr. Remco Verwoerd is a Partner with Strategic Swiss Partners. He operated in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) business for the past 30 years. In Europe he worked for companies such as Unilever, Cadbury and Nestlé and became an expert on emerging Central and Eastern European markets. In his capacity as Managing Director he led the development of the various businesses he was responsible for and acquired, merged and divested several businesses. In late 2009 he started to work in Asia, first for Tesco Stores in Malaysia and afterwards as a consultant, working both independently, as well as working for the BIG 4 consultancy firms on a regular basis.
Mr. Verwoerd has extensive skills in people leadership, strategy and business development, turn-around management and raising funds. He holds a Master’s of science degree in Economic Geography from The University of Utrecht, The Netherlands. On a personal mote, Remco is curious by nature, likes to explore new opportunities and speaks English, German, French and Dutch.

Juliet has over 25 years' experience in the life sciences and medical industries. As an experienced CEO/founder, she has raised significant funding for start-up ventures. 
She is currently associated with a number of global investor groups and is among the key decision makers for investments in a variety of areas including pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices/diagnostics, healthcare IT and genomics.
Having studied endocrinology, Juliet started her career with Genentech. She then joined Baxter Healthcare and led the global regulatory approval for rFactor VIII, one of the first biotech products on the market. Juliet then joined Allergan and led the regulatory approval for Botox.

Coert Huijbregsen is medical doctor, holds a MBA General Management, currently lives in Malaysia and contributes to Strategic Swiss Partners in the area of life sciences. For 18 years, he worked in the pharmaceutical industry as marketing director and general manager and worked closely with R&D, Q&A and manufacturing departments. Apart from his knowledge of the professional medical market, he also has a broad experience in the consumer healthcare segment. As a consultant, he carried out several business development projects, including market analysis for natural substances, feasibility studies for medical devices and probiotic cleaning. Drs. Karin van Zuilen is partner strategy & concept development at SSP. She is founder of Senz Strategy & Growth consulting, based in Malaysia, specializing in strategy development and implementation.

She has over 25 years of strategic experience in the global healthcare, life sciences and strategy consulting industry (with clients in the governmental, services, life sciences and consumer health industry). As global marketing director, she lead the creation of business strategy, brand positioning, portfolio management, product development and market access studies in The Americas, Middle East, Europe and Asia. Her teams made products successful from development stage to reaching #1 position in highly-competitive markets. After completing a Credit & Management course in Chicago, Olivier worked for ABN AMRO Bank in various business functions, including relationship management for corporate and private clients, commodity traders and healthcare clients in New York (1984–1990), Singapore (1991–1995), Zurich and Amsterdam.

Olivier worked extensively with Central and Eastern European, Turkish and Indian corporate- and private clients to develop financing structures and products.

Alex Jonesco  lic. oec. HSG / MBA is a Partner with Strategic Swiss Partners. He is a highly versatile professional with experience across sectors such as finance, insurance, telecom, energy and real estate. He has had extensive experience in the energy sector as head of sales of Vapor AG in Madrid, Spain and Zollikon, Switzerland contracting for conventional and nuclear energy plants. He has also been at the top management level in companies such as Banco Comercial Transatlantico (now Deutsche Bank), Union Reinsurance Company now Swiss Re etc. His versatility and knowledge of six languages provides him insight into varied business cultures across the world and makes him comfortable in handling business projects and deals in any country. Anders Röstin

Partner, Investments

Mr. Anders Röstin is a Partner with Strategic Swiss Partners, he brings with him over twenty years of financial, strategic and sales experience from KPMG Advisory and Sydkraft (an EON subsidiary). As partner at KPMG, he headed Corporate Finance(2002-2007) and subsequently Infrastructure & Energy(2007-2013), gaining extensive experience with the financial and strategic agendas of the energy, transport and governmental sectors. His in-depth understanding of the energy market and financial aspects of regulation, governance and partnerships is well respected. Having successfully lead a large number of M&A deals, public tenders and public-private partnership deals, as well as more strategic advice on policy and regulations, his skill-sets pans the whole spectrum - underlying analysis to big picture. Post his time at KPMG, Mr. Röstin has been focusing his efforts on bridging the gap between Scandinavian businesses and Asian markets. More personally, Anders is curious by nature, maintains a keen interest for business innovation and speaks Swedish, English and German.

Edward Wilson

Partner, Renewable Energy 

Mr. Wilson holds a Master’s degree in Polymer Science from Loughborough University. He was employed for 25 years in various Roles by the Dow Chemical Company. He was a member of Dow Europe’s Capital Committee and instrumental in bringing about the €5 billion acquisition and upgrading of a substantial portion of the former East German chemical assets. 1997 he joined Koch Industries as Managing Director Europe, Middle East and Africa. Mr. Wilson was backed by Deutsche Morgan Grenfel (London) to lead a management buy-in of the Euro 1.5 billion epoxy resin business of CIBA Specialty Chemicals of Switzerland. He served for six years as the senior non-executive director on the board of Elementis Plc (ELM: LSE). He has done consultancy work for JP Morgan Cazenove, Deutsche Bank, the State General Reserve Fund of Oman and many other governments, industrial groups and financial institutions. He is a Director to Aliatis Fund.

Clint Elgar

Mr. Clint Elgar is a Partner and responsible for Oil & Gas (Upstream) with Strategic Swiss Partners Group. Based in the UAE Mr. Elgar has over 30 years’ experience in this field.

He holds degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Aston, England. He is also a Chartered Engineer, a Corporate Member of the institution of Chemical Engineers, England; and a Corporate Member of the Institution of Chartered Scientists. Clint Elgar has experience working in a range of different sectors, Mr. Elgar is exceptionally skilled in the regions of project proposal, general management, quality leadership, operating management, strategic vision and more. Kamarul Zaman

Mr. Kamarul Zaman Abdul Kadir is a Partner and responsible for Renewables in the Energy industry with the Strategic Swiss Partners.  Based in Malaysia he has over 20 years industry related experience.  Over the course of his academic life, he engaged in computer studies within the United States, before beginning his career in various aspects of the business field. Currently, he is an overseas senior adviser for Enviro Clean Energy Sdn Bhd. Mr. Zaman is well versed in R&D and has developed & patented several new technologies in the field of agriculture & renewable resources.

His experience spans in the fields of trading and manufacturing, and he is the owner of the very first waste to energy plant in South East Asia, created under Core competencies Sdn Bhd. Mr. Kadir also earned several awards for his work over the years, with impressive skills in working within high-pressure environments.
